ISO 14064-1 is an international standard that guides organizations in measuring and managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Similar to bookkeeping, it requires systematic recording of emissions from electricity, fuel, and raw material use—helping companies pinpoint sources and implement effective reduction strategies.
Wel-Bloom Biotech’s Zhongli facility has now achieved ISO 14064-1 certification[1], marking the establishment of a robust carbon accounting and management system—an important milestone toward low-carbon manufacturing.
Based on operational data from 2024, our emissions are as follows:
- Direct emissions (e.g., natural gas, diesel, etc.): 272.23 metric tons CO₂e
- Indirect emissions from electricity usage: 370.97 metric tons CO₂e
- Other indirect emissions (e.g., transportation, raw materials): 382.20 metric tons CO₂e[2]
As our business grows, total emissions naturally rise. That’s why we focus on reducing the carbon intensity of production—ensuring each product is made with higher efficiency and stronger environmental stewardship.

- Thermal and cooling recovery systems that cut water and electricity consumption
- Water purification systems saving the equivalent of daily water use for 90–100 households, with an annual carbon reduction of 47,200 kg
- Wastewater recovery systems lowering carbon emissions by 2,880 kg per year
- Advanced climate control maintaining ideal temperature and humidity with only about 30% of the energy used by conventional air conditioning
