Environmental Commitment

LEED Silver Certified Green Factory
LEED is the world’s most recognized green building standard, with evaluations every three years covering energy and water use, air quality, and waste recycling.
In late 2023, Welbloom’s Zhongli factory received LEED Silver certification. While most certified buildings in Taiwan are commercial offices or high-tech plants, food factories face far greater challenges due to stringent food safety and hygiene requirements, combined with complex air, waste, and energy management. Achieving LEED in this sector is rare, making Welbloom’s certification a significant milestone.
This recognition demonstrates our unwavering commitment to sustainability and strengthens our brand story, enhancing competitiveness in global markets.
Maximizing Water Resource Utilization
- Total rainwater catchment area of 220 ping; drought-tolerant plants ensure 100% of irrigation water is from rainwater recycling.
- RO wastewater recycling rate of 82.87%, reused for non-production purposes, equivalent to the daily water use of 90–100 households.
- Annual reuse of RO wastewater saves over 20 kiloliters of fuel, NT$150,000 in costs, and reduces 47,200 kg of carbon emissions—equal to nearly 200,000 km of car travel.
Air Conditioning and Air Quality Optimization
- Magnetic centrifugal chillers save 30% more energy than traditional systems.
- Eco-friendly refrigerants reduce pollution risk and system wear.
- Pharmaceutical-grade HEPA 10,000 system filters over 99.95% of particulates.
- Total heat exchangers regulate oxygen, temperature, and humidity while reducing HVAC load.
- Energy consumption of exchangers is low—about 84.96 kWh per month, just 30% of the electricity used by an average household.
Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction
- Steam sterilization reduces energy use by 83% compared to conventional processes.
- Steam heat recovery saves 10% of daily energy, cutting 2,880 kg of CO₂ annually (equal to two months of residential gas use).
- Energy cost savings reach 19.4% compared to standard buildings.
- 8% of parking spaces are reserved for green energy vehicles, exceeding certification requirements.
ISO 14064-1 Certification
The Zhongli factory tracks all emission sources including electricity, fuel, and raw materials, with a full management system in place.
- Direct emissions (gas, diesel): 272.23 tons CO₂e
- Electricity-related emissions: 370.97 tons CO₂e
- Other indirect emissions (transportation, raw materials): 382.20 tons CO₂e

Creating a Disability-Friendly Workplace
To support employees with hearing impairments and help them integrate more effectively into the workplace, Wel-Bloom has installed visual assistance systems on production lines. Since 2017, the company has been repeatedly recognized by the New Taipei City Government as an outstanding enterprise. The General Manager also served as a member of the 12th and 13th “Employment Fund Management Committee for Persons with Disabilities” in New Taipei City, underscoring Welbloom’s commitment to building a disability-friendly work environment.

Bridging Urban-Rural Gaps
in Sports Resources
Wel-Bloom provides nutritional supplements such as calcium and protein to athletes at Yilan Sanshing Junior High School, Chiayi Minhe Junior High School, and Tainan Danei Junior High School weightlifting teams. In addition, we initiated an industry-wide fundraising effort to build a dedicated training facility for Sanshing Junior High, giving students a safer and more complete environment to pursue their dreams.

Community Care
We make regular annual donations of supplies to support long-term partner institutions such as Holy Word Children’s Home, Ludi Children’s Home, Pingzhen Jiayi Nursing Home in Taoyuan, and He Zhiren Kindergarten, extending care to communities surrounding our factories.

Diverse Philanthropic Actions
Our initiatives include participating in the Importers and Exporters Association’s charity events, updating fire alarms in old residential buildings in Banqiao and Zhonghe, and supporting the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation’s “Second-hand Book Donation Campaign.” Through these efforts, Welbloom seeks to give back to society in multiple ways, safeguarding public safety and well-being.

Committed Beyond

Friendly Workplace Culture
We value open communication and coordination between labor and management, holding quarterly meetings to promptly address employee concerns. Festive events are organized with invitations extended to employees’ families to foster shared joy.

Family-Friendly Measures
Breastfeeding rooms and scholarships to support parenting needs. Partnerships with nationwide bilingual preschool chains, offering childcare and shuttle services at preferential rates.

Regular Health Check-Ups
Factory staff undergo annual health screenings as required by regulations. Non-factory staff and managers receive comprehensive checkups every three years, followed by on-site medical consultations for those with health concerns.

Health Counseling
Monthly on-site medical staff provide free consultations and proactive follow-ups, offering employees a confidential third-party channel for mental and physical health support.

Employee Development
Employees are encouraged to pursue professional certifications and training. Resources include programs from e-commerce associations, online learning platforms, and import-export trade associations. Continuous learning helps bridge gaps between theory and practice, while enhancing the competitiveness of the health supplement industry as a whole.
Supply Chain and Risk Management
Global disruptions such as the Red Sea crisis, rerouted shipping, delays, and flight cancellations have exposed supply chain vulnerabilities. As a professional health supplement manufacturer, Welbloom recognizes the uncertainty in raw material supply and actively formulates strategies to ensure stability while accelerating exploration of local sourcing opportunities.
