Brighter skin may have long been an essential characteristic of Asian beauty in recent years. Beauty pageants are judged on their appearance and may be criticized if their looks did not meet the standards. The pervasive idea that having brighter skin is more attractive reflects on the sales growth of beauty products. The recent scientific research in Japan discovers that DKK1 is a protein-coding gene responsible for our palms and soles being naturally brighter than the rest of the body parts and a natural inhibitor of melanin production. Therefore, research personnel started unlocking the new skin-brightening ingredients that are similar to DKK1 to clarify our complexions and return exposed skin to its natural state, showing a strong growth potential for skin-brightening products in Asian market.

Besides the health benefits of golden milk, turmeric is another essential natural ingredient. Turmeric possesses a wide range of health benefits, and the curcumin within turmeric is a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. However, curcumin has limited bioavailability because of its low solubility in water.

The absorption of water-soluble nutrients occurs by diffusion through the wall of the small intestine into the capillaries of the circulatory system. Since curcumin can easily be assembled into large molecules, it has low bioavailability, hence poor absorption. Therefore, it could only be used in a few dosage forms. Many manufacturers have been looking for ways to improve the bioavailability of curcumin.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://wel-en.wp-mak.ing/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/0910_vol.0037薑黃內文圖_市場-02.webp” title_text=”0910_vol.0037薑黃內文圖_市場-02″ align=”center” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

The most common methods of improving its bioavailability are adding piperine, mixing with oil, and increasing the concentration of curcumin. However, these methods have disadvantages. For instance, the burning taste of piperine will affect the product’s flavor. Oil does not dissolve in water, so curcumin could not be used in liquid dosage forms. Adding too much curcumin makes the supplement too simple, which does not reflect the diversity of nutrients.

To overcome the aforementioned problems, we teamed up with the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center to work on increasing curcumin bioavailability without reducing its efficacy. Our submicronization technology, Nu-Fusion®, was used to decrease the size of curcumin. That way, we overcame the curcumin limitations and were able to offer our clients the more efficient, easily-absorbed turmeric supplement in various dosage forms.
